After the New Year, Laguna will participate in the 28th Barnett Holiday Cup on Jan. 3 and 4. The event is named after the late Olympic and Newport coach Bill Barnett, also a long-time Laguna resident. The Breakers once won eight straight titles in the event and finished fifth last season.
