‘Social butterfly’ Vera Pavelec, one of four pals testing positive after Huntington Beach party, dies of COVID

Vera Pavelec, 71, died Monday, July 27, from complications of COVID-19. The Huntington Beach native apparently contacted the illness when she went to a birthday party with five friends at a bar.
