Former Huntington Beach basketball coach Elmer Combs dead at age 92

Elmer Combs, who coached Huntington Beach High to Orange County boys basketball greatness in the 1960s and ‘70s, died Sunday, Sept. 19. He was 92. Combs coached Huntington Beach for 19 seasons.
