Cowabunga on the beach in run-up to Surf City Marathon

The weekend of festivities surrounding the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach focused on families Saturday with the running of the Cowabunga Beach Mile. Participants in the timed run on the sand received a cape, finisher’s medal, race bib, timing chip and complimentary beer after the race (for those old enough to drink, of course).
