The waters around Hilton Beach, Huntington Beach, King-Lincoln Beach and Anderson Beach in Newport News and Buckroe Beach south, near the James T. Wilson Fishing Pier, in Hampton were flagged after water samples tested by the Hampton and Peninsula Health Districts showed bacteria levels that exceeded the state water quality standard.
