It’s a new season, which likely means a new CIF-Southern Section playoff division for area girls basketball teams. Take Palos Verdes for example. Last season, the Sea Kings (19-10) won the Division 4A championship. This season, PV is up to Division 2AA. The Sea Kings opened the playoffs with a 51-44 win over Valley View Wednesday.
